Lynx Hand Controls Ltd. was established in 1994 in recognition of the need for a convenient hand control which could easily be carried and installed by the user. Since the company started in 1994 it has developed as a Short-term Mobility Specialist and covers not only the hand controls but also accident services and hire car provision with many major rental companies.
The Lynx Hand Control was developed in collaboration with the Automotive Development Centre and was independently tested by the Motor Industry Research Association (MIRA). Testing included full driving appraisal, structural deformation testing and a high cycle durability test to SAE J1903 Aug. 1990.
As a consequence of this rigorous testing, the Lynx Hand Control is fully insured for both product and design liability with AVIVA.
